Linework...
What could be better than a line? It is the basis for all other shapes. Lines are both mathematical and lyrical. When I am doing "linework", it is a deliberate exploration. I’m looking for edges, grooves, breadth, rigidity, finesse, fluidity.
My lines are about connections, real, remembered or imagined. They are the moments in our day on top of our remembered yesterdays and last weeks and last years, on top of our
biological and geographical history. These lines, these connections, run deep.
Lines are truly the strongest mark-making.
